Located within a 30 minute drive of  Listowel, Killarney and Tralee, Castleisland is the perfect base to explore The Kingdom. We are also a short drive from the beautiful Ballybunion.

Main Street is the hub of the town’s tradition, culture and everyday business. It’s famously the second widest street in Ireland, second only after Dublin’s O’Connell Street. Viewing all the comings and goings of this authentic Kerry town, is a statue of the late Castleisland journalist, Con Houlihan, who is labelled “the greatest and the best-loved Irish sports journalist of all”.

Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the state-of-the-art facilities in Castleisland. An Ríocht Gym and Leisure Centre houses a top-class gym and recovery area, including a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The town is home to a number of sports clubs including, St. Mary’s Basketball Club, the Castleisland Desmond’s GAA grounds, the all-weather Georgie O’Callaghan Park (home to Castleisland AFC), the pitch and putt club and the tennis courts.

Venturing outside Castleisland, Tralee, Killarney and Dingle offer entertainment and activities for all ages.
